I use coloured glass rods, powders and granules to create intricate wildlife pieces, using a propane/oxygen flame to heat and shape the glass, a technique known as lampwork. No paint involved! Each piece is then mounted on a carefully selected piece of agate. This is my 40th year working in glass, so we are planning some special pieces in celebration.
From Gowans Terrace, turn left into the car park for the North Inch Community Campus, follow the road round the sports pitches, we are the first cottage.
I can do a short demonstration showing how the glass moves and can be shaped in the flame. Due to space restrictions this is limited to a maximum of two visitors at a time however you are welcome to enjoy a glass of something on our deck whilst you wait if I'm busy when you arrive.
