Open Studios Festival

This year we’ll be returning to a nine day open studio event for the first week of September, this year the dates are Saturday 31 August until Sunday 8 September. 

We’ll provide a clear indication of which studios are open on which days and for what hours. Last year we had around 120 artists participate in an incredibly successful event, made possible by the artists opening their studios, taking their work to locations as diverse as the Tickled Trout Café, Pitlochry Bowling Club and Victoria Bloom Design Florist.

There will be a paper brochure available in various locations through-out Perthshire in July and August, the website will have more detailed information and images and that should be available by the end of June. 

Given the rural nature of Perthshire there are parts where the network coverage is poor and so the paper brochure does offer some added benefit. Each location provides a postcode as well as a What3words address to help you find the more rural locations.

Open Studios happen across the country and is an opportunity for visitors to gain access to artists’ studios and potentially see them working on pieces but certainly willing to discuss their creative process. It’s a wonderful chance to interact with the artists and makes any purchases, if any at all, whether a card, print or an original piece so much more meaningful.
