KW Originals - 60 - Plum Route

Shinafoot Studio -

My inspiration comes from a range of things in life. I enjoy making jewellery, with components  I have made myself. At KW Originals you will always be greeted with a smile. Whether you are in it for fun and relaxation, a hobby, to set up a jewellery business or develop a career, I welcome everyone. Classes include silver metal clay, silversmithing, making glass beads, wirewrapping and chainmaille.

Karin Webb designs and makes jewellery working mostly with glass, metal clay, sterling silver and bronze. Karin links modern with feminine whenever possible. Using components that she has made is key in her designs. Karin believes in quality of craftsmanship, unique style and high quality one off pieces.

Once ready to begin, the lampworker slowly introduces glass rod or tubing into the flame to prevent cracking from thermal shock. The glass is heated until molten, wound around a specially coated steel mandrel, forming a bead.
