Colour is fundamental to Cockburn’s work and his assured style and palette carry many of the hallmarks of the Scottish Colourist tradition. At the same time his work displays a refreshing individuality and investigates and represents mood, sense of place and the varied characteristics of nature.

Directions: In the village at the Glenfarg Hotel turn into the Ladeside. Take the next right and first left into Hayfield Road. Proceed out of the village up the hill and take the first right, signposted Easterton. Continue up the track to the white farmhouse at the very top of the hill.
